What tests should be performed before using eco-friendly hoses?

1. Before testing the size of the peristaltic pump environmental protection hose, first look at its appearance and pay attention to whether there are bubbles, impurities and black spots on the pipe wall. Once it exists, it will affect its service life. Secondly, the accuracy of the size will directly affect the flow of the pump. The flow rate is mainly determined by the inner diameter of the hose. The larger the inner diameter, the greater the flow rate. The outer diameter or wall thickness will affect the service life of the hose. If the wall thickness exceeds the regular tolerance, the hose will become hard, which will affect the operation of the pump body.

2. In order to test the wear resistance, fatigue resistance and resilience of the environmental protection hose of the peristaltic pump, it is recommended to use the limit test method to adjust the speed of the peristaltic pump to a large speed, transport weakly corrosive fluids, and observe the flow change of the peristaltic pump every day. Start the pump continuously, the hose is not damaged, and the flow change is not obvious, indicating that the resilience, fatigue resistance and wear resistance of the hose are very good.

3. Test the aging and corrosion resistance of the peristaltic pump environmental protection hose. Take a section of sample tube, record its weight, inner and outer diameter, length and other parameters, soak the hose in a glass beaker, take out the hose after 72 hours, rinse and dry with clean water, re-measure its weight, inner and outer diameter, length, and observe its changes; by the way, check whether the hose is soft, brittle, white, cracked, etc., if there is any change, it indicates that the hose is chemically affected by the liquid, indicating that the pump pipe aging and poor corrosion resistance. Each candidate pump tube sample shall be put into the actual environmental conditions of the factory for trial operation, and the test results shall be closely observed. Good chemical stability is demonstrated if no discoloration, swelling, cracking, loss of flow or other deterioration of the pump tubing occurs after commissioning.

4. According to the actual application field of the peristaltic pump, determine the stage certification required for the peristaltic pump silicone hose, such as FDA, lfgb, USP level 6, etc.

The dark and dry temperature will not only make people feel irritable, but also accelerate the aging of the silicone hose and shorten its service life. This is a situation that manufacturers of silicone products must face every year. If the temperature is too high, the environmental protection hose will easily turn yellow, and some colored environmental protection hoses are easy to deteriorate.
